Vaguely back in the land of the living. Suffice to say it’s been a bit of a weird month, more on that later.

Just popped on this morning as I’d noticed that there’s now a wordpress app for the iPhone/touch.

I’ve not managed to get an iPhone yet as they are still in short supply everywhere and I can’t be arsed with chasing around various shops at the moment (again for reasons to be discussed later when I’ve got more inclination for writing).

In the meantime, Mischief says hello…

Sunday 1st June

You know that cereal advert where the guy slowly evolves over breakfast?

Strangely reminiscent of Huw in the mornings…

… with real EAGLE EYES!

Oh dear. I seem to have turned into that crusty old bloke who writes into the paper about things…

Oh dear. There was me thinking how lucky I was to have avoided the lurgi that wiped Kel out last week, until I woke up this morning with a head full of snot and a headache that finished somewhere around my ankles..

I had a school visit in Caldicot at lunchtime, and it was too late to cancel so I had to go. Thankfully I just about bimbled my way though it - mainly due to the fact it turned out to be a very small group, only about 20 kids, who were surprisingly understanding of my plight and we ended up doing more of a self-defence session than my usual high-energy XMA stuff. Unfortunately, driving down there made it abundantly clear by lunchtime that there was no way I could go to the seminar with Royce Gracie tonight, and to be honest I’m gutted about that. I’ve wanted to train with him for about ten years or more now and I was *really* looking forward to it. Unfortunately I don’t really think I would even have been safe driving up there, let alone training..

Not in any kind of fit state for photography today, so here’s one from last week in the Forest of Dean:

Spent the biggest part of the day with my arse glued to the car seat travelling to & from the wrong side of London to go to SENI, the martial arts trade show thing which was on at the Excel centre. To be honest, it wasn’t spectacular and it’s definitely lost something in the move from the NEC to Excel. I’m not sorry that I went, though I was hoping for rather more than we got..

On the way home on the way back down into Dursley the sky was looking interesting, so I grabbed the camera a wandered back out for an hour to wait for the sunset. Obviously you could wait for days to get the perfect shot, but at the moment I’m happy to experiment a bit and see what crops up..This evening’s noodlings..
