Unfortunately I spent all afternoon in bed with a bugger of a headache and really didn’t feel like doing much today, but when I surfaced I looked out the window and though “that would make an ace desktop background” so I grabbed my camera and took a walk up to cam peak.
These were the result.
Monday 5th may
Had a nice walk today down to Woodchester Mansion with Kel & Callum. After a brief noodle around the house itself we took a wander along to the lakes.
Definitely want to go along there again, preferably with the tripod next time to get some proper HDR shots that aren’t quite so wobbly..
Spent the biggest part of the day with my arse glued to the car seat travelling to & from the wrong side of London to go to SENI, the martial arts trade show thing which was on at the Excel centre. To be honest, it wasn’t spectacular and it’s definitely lost something in the move from the NEC to Excel. I’m not sorry that I went, though I was hoping for rather more than we got..
On the way home on the way back down into Dursley the sky was looking interesting, so I grabbed the camera a wandered back out for an hour to wait for the sunset. Obviously you could wait for days to get the perfect shot, but at the moment I’m happy to experiment a bit and see what crops up..This evening’s noodlings..
Great day over in the Forest of Dean today, we went for a stomp around the Sculpture trail thing at Beechenhurst Lodge and then up to Goodrich Castle, where the above pic was taken.
Another trip via Aust and the severn bridge on the way home:
Tomorrow I’ll try to think of something that’s not a tone mapped landscape. Honest!
