So, the UPS bloke picked up my 360 earlier to go off to MS for repair.
His comment as he picked it up was “I could do with a bigger van just for these bloody things..”

Got up about 8, fed the cat and had some brekkie myself.
Sat down to crack on with all the stuff I needed to do today (first day back teaching after 2 weeks off) and felt decidedly odd. The snot-filled head last night was probably the first clue, but suffice to say I went back to bed for a bit and actually woke up again properly about 12:30, still feeling knackered. Arse.
When I woke up though it was nice to discover the cat had managed to ninja her way in for a cuddle and was fast asleep in my arm. Bless her

Sorry for the crap pic but it was a job to reach the iPhone without waking her up!
It’s nearly 3:30 now and I still feel woolly as fuck. Arse. Not exactly how I’d planned to spend my day!
Anyone got any miracle drugs to wake me up a bit? I really can’t be doing with feeling like this, got too much to do…
Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the hall table
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table,
Put the junk mail in the waste bin under the table,
And notice that the bin is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back
on the table and take out the rubbish first.
But then I think,
Since I’m going to be near the post box
When I take out the rubbish anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my cheque book off the table,
And see that there is only one cheque left.
My extra cheques are in my desk in the study,
So I go to my desk where
I find the cup of tea I’d been drinking.
I’m going to look for my cheques,
But first I need to push the tea aside
So that I don’t accidentally knock it over.
The tea is getting cold,
And I decide to put it in the kitchen to wash up.
As I head toward the kitchen with the tea,
A vase of flowers on the worktop
Catches my eye–they need water.
I put the tea on the worktop and
Discover my reading glasses that
I’ve been searching for all morning.
I decide I’d better put them back on my desk,
But first I’m going to water the flowers.
I set the glasses back down on the worktop,
Fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I’ll be looking for the remote,
But I won’t remember that it’s on the kitchen table,
So I decide to put it back in the sitting room where it belongs,
But first I’ll water the flowers.
I go to pour some water in the flowers,
But most of it spills on the floor;
So, I set the remote back on the table,
Get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to
Remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:
The car isn’t washed
The bills aren’t paid
There is a cold cup of tea sitting on the worktop
The flowers don’t have enough water,
There is still only 1 cheque in my cheque book,
I can’t find the remote,
I can’t find my glasses,
And I don’t remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I’m really baffled because I know I was busy all day,
And I’m really tired.
I realize this is a serious problem,
And I’ll try to get some help for it,
But first I’ll check my e-mail….
Took a quick trip down to Severn Beach tonight to scope out some potential locations for some shots I wanted to take. Wasn’t really expecting to take anything decent as the weather wasn’t looking too good, but I’m really glad we went now as it turned out to be well worth the drive…

I love roller coasters, and so I was well chuffed that the weather held out yesterday and we managed to get in all of the big rides at Alton Towers, some twice, before lunch.
Pleasantly surprised that having got there early they let us in 30 mins early and we managed to get straight on some of the rides an hour before they were meant to be even running. This meant we also got a couple of rides on Oblivion with no queuing and could save our fast track tickets for later for ride #3.

RITA and Air were the two ‘biggies’ that we were looking forward to and they didn’t disappoint. Managed to blag a couple of goes on Rita, sat right at the front each time too
Air was awesome, you’re effectively lying face down and so from your POV it’s like your flying, except of course, having actually done a lot of that for real, it’s not
Ooh - unexpected surprise of the day, ‘Hex’. It’s not a big ride as such, and it’s easy to see how they’ve done it, but man does it fuck with the senses. Well worth queuing up for that one ![]()
